Greetings from the Managing Director of Kadeko Tokyo

Tokyo – when you hear this word, what do you think about it? Some people may imagine that it is a highly urbanized city, like New York City. Others may recall a YouTube video in which many people are squeezed into a train at the station, and get horrified (or excited) at taking trains in Tokyo.

Yes, Tokyo is a very urbanized city, and there are so many people living here. However, these features are just one side of the coin. Flip it, and take a peek! See, feel and explore the traditional/ancient side of Tokyo with us!

Tokyo has many traditional and magnificent temples, shrines and gardens. It is the center of traditional shows like Kabuki and Noh. There are many traditional crafts that are long-lasting and useful. Some people may be more interested in eating than seeing something? –  no problem! Tokyo has so many great restaurants and sweet shops where you can enjoy so many Japanese food and desserts, too. You may be surprised at seeing the gaps between the urban side and the traditional side of Tokyo at the same time.

We are always with you. We want to help you feel the traditional side of Tokyo and have wonderful days here.

It has two major entrances to the world – Haneda and Narita International Airports, so many of you will either arrive in Tokyo first or depart from it at the end. We open the door to Japan for you first, or we welcome your next visit by saying “see you again” at the end of your precious time in Japan.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Tokyo as not only your guides but also one of your friends!

Sincerely,

Takanori “Taka” Sagawa
